Who is Colin Horn?

My name is Colin Horn and I am a Martin County, KY native. That is where I spent the first eighteen years of my life and I now hang my hat in Lexington, KY as a student at the University of Kentucky. I am currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, which has helped me appreciate the technological growth and economic impact made by engineering companies within Kentucky. It has also given me a great love for and skillset to analyze data and statistics. Growing up in Appalachia, I realized how pivotal of a role that a livable wage can play for a family. That is why I want to create awareness of our great state’s economic health and share the stories of our communities to the world.
You might be thinking “that’s a lot of Kentucky”… and you’d be right. That’s what this blog is all about, after all. From the western tips of Paducah and Elkton to the eastern mountain tips of Pikeville and Inez, my heart goes out to the commonwealth. I love the entire state and always have. My dream is to be a part of the Kentucky community and stay involved in promoting the economic wellbeing of my home for as long as I live, regardless of my geographical location.
